Simon Andrew Shepherd, 35, of Bricket Road, St Albans. On January 22, 2013, used towards members of the public threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour. Committed to prison for eight weeks.

Richard George Bates, 41, of Dark Lane, Harpenden. On February 18, 2013, drove in West Avenue, St Albans, after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion in breath was 52 microgrammes in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes. Fine, costs: £360. Banned from driving for 13 months, to be reduced by 13 weeks if approved course undertaken.

Laurence Cunningham, of Watling Street, Park Street. On September 19, 2012, was the person in whose a name a vehicle was registered which did not meet the insurance requirements of the Road Traffic Act. Fine, costs: £525.

Md Zamil Hossain, 24, of Shirley Road, St Albans. On September 13, 2012, was the person in whose a name a vehicle was registered which did not meet the insurance requirements of the Road Traffic Act. Fine, costs: £525.

Liani Joelle Wright, 38, of Reed Close, London Colney. On August 23, 2012, was the person in whose a name a vehicle was registered which did not meet the insurance requirements of the Road Traffic Act. Fine, costs: £525.
