Amateur film maker Daria Kulesh walked the city streets with a Tom Cruise mask for the short film Tom Tom
Tom Cruise may have been spotted in a St Albans Indian restaurant last summer however if visitors caught a glimpse of the Hollywood A-Lister this weekend they would have to be reassured it was in fact a mask.
Alongside her friends, amateur film maker Daria Kulesh walked the city streets with a Tom Cruise mask - as featured in Tom Tom - a short film inspired by Cruise’s visit to Veer Dhara in August last year.
Despite losing out to first place, Ms Kulesh said she felt proud when Tom Tom was aired at this weekend’s St Albans film festival, after being shortlisted in the Best Music Award category.
The 30-year-old said: "It was phenomenal to see my film on the big screen.
"To be shortlisted was special enough for me and after watching the other films I was very impressed with the talent.
"It was inspiring to meet local film makers and for many it was the first time they had showcased their work to a huge audience.
"It was such a great day and now I will look in to more exciting ideas to enter in next year."
