Appeal for witnesses after wall pushed over in High Oaks, St Albans

Police are appealing for witnesses after a garden wall was pushed over at a St Albans home.

The newly built wall in the front garden of a house in High Oaks was pushed over between 6pm and 7pm on Wednesday (March 6).

PC Barry Eldridge, from St Albans police station, said: "The wall had been built earlier that day so the mortar had not yet had time to set properly.

"We believe it may have been deliberately pushed over causing considerable expense to the elderly victim."

Anyone with information about the incident should contact police on the non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference F1/13/740. Alternatively, call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
