St Pauls Church in St Albans to host ‘Come as you are’ event

A church in St Albans is offering women a rare chance to relax and unwind next month.

Workshops on identifying God given talents will be run alongside classes on tackling sleep problems and art activities at St Paul’s Church in Blandford Road on Saturday, April 20.

Jenny Lines, one of the organisers of the Come as You Are event, said: “As women with busy lives we often put the needs of our loved ones before our own.

“We are offering those who come a space to focus on themselves – and God – as well as a time to relax, meet with other women and encourage each other.”

The day will run from 9.15am until 4pm.

Linda Hall, assistant pastor and head of pastoral care at Vineyard Church, St Albans, will also speak during the event.

For ticket for the day, which cost £15, contact the church on 01727 846281.

All surplus proceeds will be donated to the St Albans and Hertsmere Women’s Refuge.

Just to clarify that this is primarily a day of Christian teaching and spirituality for women. Hopefully, the church will be able to make a charity donation, but it's the first time we've run such a day!
