Saman Salami, 39, of Upper Lattimore Road, St Albans. On October 24, 2012, damaged a telephone belonging to St Albans JobCentre. Fine, compensation, costs: £265.

Richard O’Sullivan, 49, of Martins Court, Swallow Lane, St Albans. On January 26, 2013, used threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour; also, on same date, assaulted a person by beating – an offence which was racially aggravated. Committed to prison for 12 weeks suspended for 18 months. Order includes alcohol treatment and prohibited activity orders. Compensation: £150.

Andrew Stuart James, 54, of Aldenham Road, Radlett. On August 15, 2012, drove on the M1 without insurance. Fine, costs: £310. Banned from driving for six months.
