St Albans’ skate park will be opening its doors to BMX riders and Parkour free runners.
The Pioneer Club is expanding the amount of activities it offers to people across St Albans.
The centre, which is run by The Pioneer Club charity, currently offers sessions for skateboards, scooters and in-liners.
Ash Ellis, the centre’s development co-ordinator said: "We want to widen the appeal of the skate park to include many different urban sports.
"Pioneer skate park is a safe and friendly environment for youths and adults to enjoy exercising and having fun.
"By introducing a BMX and also a Parkour session, we are ensuring as many people as possible can have a chance to use our facility.
"Across the country skate parks are run by charities and communities working extremely hard to cover the costs of maintaining such important facilities, and The Pioneer Club charity are committed to getting as many users into the club as possible."
BMX sessions will run on Wednesdays from 5pm until 7pm and Parkour classes will be held on Mondays between 5pm and 7pm.
Both sessions cost £5.
