Musicians will take to the stage in St Albans on Sunday to raise cash and awareness for a charity campaign.
St Albans Calling, a group of local performers, has joined forces with Oxfam to organise a gig on Sunday night.
The fundraiser has been set up to support the charity’s Get Together campaign, which is working for gender justice to transform the lives of women in poverty.
Lori West, director of St Albans Calling, said: "One of our key missions is promotion through community collaboration, so we were delighted when we were approached by Oxfam to participate in this project.
"It’s our mission that various communities, charity and musical communities alike, establish closer working partnerships to support each other, and for me, this is a perfect example of these collaborative efforts in action."
15-year-old Lucy Hodson from Redbourn is just one of the singers who will perform during the event, which will be held at The Bakehouse in Heritage Close.
A raffle will be held during the evening, with prizes such as a £60 voucher for Cote Brasserie up for grabs.
Annie Purrier, the regional marketing assistant for the charity campaign, said: "We approached Lori West after discovering the amazing amount of talent within St Albans Calling and their enthusiasm for community spirit.
"These two factors combined make St Albans Calling the perfect partner to work with on the Get Together campaign, we are really excited and proud to be working with them."
Tickets for the event, which will run from 5pm until 7pm, are available from www.eventelephant.com/secretheroes
