Elderly woman trapped in care home lift in St Albans

Firefighters were called to a care home in St Albans this morning to help an elderly lady trapped in a lift.

A crew from St Albans were called to Cell Barnes Lane at 9.39am this morning.

The lift, which was stuck on the second floor, was opened using specialist equipment.

Firefighters left the scene after 15 minutes.
