St Albans City Centre stars in TV advert

A new advert that takes a giant tea pot through the streets of St Albans has had its first television screening.

Insurance company More Than brought a parade to the city centre on Sunday, February 24 to film the 41 second clip.

The advert, which describes St Albans as "that peaceful town in the shires, includes a marching band and a car covered in flowers.

During the parade shoppers had the chance to pick up a cup of tea and a biscuits in St Peters Street.

At the time of filming, managing director Janet Conner said: "We really enjoyed filming our new advert in St Albans.

"It was quite a parade and I’m sure those that turned up had a lot of fun."
