A supermarket worker from St Albans will star in a new television advert carving a joint of ham.

Dyan Kew, who works at the Morrisons store in Hatfield Road, features in the chain’s sponsorship campaign for Britain’s Got Talent.

During the advert Ms Kew, who usually works on the cheese counter at the store, carves a ham before being awarded points by a panel of judges in a similar style to that in the hit ITV programme.

She said: "It was great to be chosen to star in a national TV campaign, especially one that was so much fun to film.

"We work hard to be the best at what we do and it’s great to show off our skills to millions of people.

"The advert is just like working in store although Morrisons customers in St Albans are a much sharper judging panel."

The mini-advert, along with several others that feature other specialist areas of the store, are shown before and after each set of adverts during the Saturday night show.
