Members of the St Albans branch of Soroptimist International hosted a charity garden party to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Queen's coronation.
About 50 people gathered in a Harpenden garden on Sunday raising more than £500 for the organisation’s project, Birthing in the Pacific, which aims to increase the health care service in New Guinea.
Party guests celebrated the Queen’s landmark occasion with a coronation themed quiz, a raffle and a singalong session, including God Save the Queen.
Jane Slatter, a member of the branch, said: "It was a great laugh. It was a really social event.
"It is a really good cause and the money will go a long way."
