St Albans District Council leader said the council would “continue to fight for the community collectively” against plans for a rail freight depot near Park Street at a cabinet meeting last night.
This comes after it was announced yesterday St Albans District Council has lodged a request with the High Court to have its judicial review application, which was turned down last week, reconsidered.
During discussions, the executive Leader, Councillor Julian Daly said it was an issue of “absolute national importance.”
The renewal application lodged with the High Court seeks an oral hearing before a High Court judge to have the Judicial Review application reconsidered.
