A memorial garden that was created in memory of a former St Albans mayor has been revamped.
Residents joined forces with volunteers from the council’s grounds maintenance contractor John O’Conner to plant flowers and shrubs in the garden in the Whitecroft Estate.
The memorial was created in 2008 in memory of Keith Clegg, who was the city’s mayor as well as a district councillor, who passed away in 2008.
Councillor Beric Read, portfolio holder for community engagement and localism at the district council, said: "This project is a great example of partnership working with everyone coming together to revamp these flower beds for the community.
"I want to thank local residents, John O’Conner and Council officers for helping to make this happen."
