Thousands of people descended on open spaces across the district for this year’s Larks in the Parks event.
The free fun day, which was held at five venues across St Albans and Harpenden, was held on Sunday, June 30.
More than 5,000 people turned up on the day to enjoy a range of entertainment around this year’s event theme the concept of flight.
Visitors had a chance to make kits and paper planes while playing games and listening to live music.
Richard Shwe, head of community services at the district council, said: "Larks in the Parks took place on one of the hottest days of the year so far.
"More than 5,000 people turned up to enjoy an array of entertainment.
"New to the event this year was Batford Springs which on its own attracted around 1,000 people."
