Power has been restored to just under half of the homes and businesses affected by a power cut in St Albans this afternoon.
Of the 1,696 properties affected, 819 now have power again.
However the remaining 867 homes and businesses are still without their electricity.
Engineers from UK Power Network are currently working to restore power to the remaining properties.
The power cut, which was caused by a fault in the high voltage network, happened at 2.55pm.
The exact cause is still being investigated.
