Firefighters were called to the McDonalds in London Colney after a car caught alight in its car park.
One engine rushed to the Bell Lane restaurant at about 2.45pm yesterday afternoon.
The crew remained at the scene until just after 3pm.
The fire is believed to have started accidently and is not being investigated.
