Baby buggy fitness class at Westminster Lodge Leisure Centre raises cash for Rennie Grove Hospice
A team of ten mothers armed with their buggies have raised over £100 for Rennie Grove Hospice as part of a fundraiser at a St Albans leisure centre.
They took part in the buggy fitness class at Westminster Lodge Leisure Centre on Thursday, August 15.
Everyone Active, which operates the Westminster Lodge Leisure Centre, matched the session costs paid to double the money raised for the charity.
Buggy Fitness sessions combine the buggy with circuit style exercises to strengthen and tone post-pregnancy trouble spots.
Steve Cox, Everyone Active contract manager, said: "I want to thank all those who attended the class.
"We are so pleased to have raised a fantastic amount of money for Grove House Hospice to help support their invaluable work.
"It’s certainly something we’ll be looking to do again as we regularly fundraise for Grove House. For example, earlier this year we ran special fundraising Active Antz children’s play sessions, which raised £200 for the charity."
