St Albans supermarket £250,000 transformation
A St Albans supermarket is set to be transformed following a £250,000 investment that will create a new shopping experience for customers.
The Co-Operative in Park Street has been redesigned around an appreciation of good food, wine and modern cuisine.
Alongside there is to be an increased range of Truly Irresistible products, there will be ranges of fresh and chilled produce and a wider choice of ready meals.
As part of the investment it aims to create a brighter store with a more shopper-friendly layout, new in-store bakery and eco refrigeration.
Kerry Crocker, store manager, said: “St Albans residents are passionate about their food and our new-look Co-operative food store will certainly reflect this. The store will be packed with great-value quality products and modern and interesting meal ideas that, while quick and easy to put together, are sure to impress.
“We know our shoppers lead busy personal and professional lives, and my dedicated and knowledgeable store team will be on hand to help customers and make recommendations so they can get the most out of their visits to our store.”
Fairtrade and wholefood products will also be sold. The new-look store will open on Thursday 5 September.
