The Brambleton Model Railway Club to hold open day
Railway enthusiasts are invited to come along to The Brambleton Model Railway Club’s annual open day in Harpenden this month.
The event will take place on Saturday, September 21 at the club’s grounds adjacent to Highfield Oval, in Ambrose Lane from 2pm to 5.30pm.
Visitors will get the chance to view the 0 gauge layout consisting of nine stations on a 1/8 of a mile loop of double track, along with live steam engines.
Admission prices are £2 for adults and £1.50 for children and senior citizens. Refreshments will be available all afternoon.
Brambleton Model Railway Club began life as an un-official boys club in 1947 before forming as the Brambleton Model Railway Club in January 1956.
