St Albans residents' opinions sought on waste incinerator plans at New Barnfield in Hatfield
Residents will have the chance to voice their concerns over plans to build a huge waste incinerator on St Albans’ doorstep at a session next month.
Veolia Environmental Services’ propose to build the unit, which will deal with 380,000 tonnes of waste per year, at New Barnfield in Hatfield.
In October last year Hertfordshire County Council gave the go-ahead to the development despite protests from residents and local politicians The session, intended for the community to voice concerns over the planned waste burner, will take place on Tuesday, October 22.
The exact time and venue has not yet been announced, but provisionally it will take place from 6 to 10pm at Fielder Centre in Hatfield Business Park.
