St Albans man, Craig John Sutherland, charged with obstruction in relation to incident on York Road footbridge
A St Albans man has been charged with obstruction after commuters were delayed for 90 minutes on a First Capital Connect train on Saturday night.
Craig John Sutherland, 36, of Stanley Avenue, appeared at Hatfield Magistrates Court yesterday, in relation to the incident on York Road footbridge.
Yesterday a FCC spokesperson said overhead line power supplies were switched off between 11.05pm and 12.12am in the early hours of Sunday morning, due to a suicidal man sitting on a railway bridge north of St Albans.
