'Trash the dress' photography exhibition in aid of Breakthrough Breast Cancer
Wedding dresses splattered by paint and ruined by cake can be viewed at a photography exhibition in St Albans this weekend to raise money for Breakthrough Breast Cancer.
Emily Birch, an aspiring photographer and former St Albans College student, has organised Trash the Dress on Saturday, a photography exhibition, (September 28) between 7pm and 10.30pm.
The event, which takes place in a warehouse in 4G Beaumont Works, Sutton Road, will also host a raffle to raise money for the cancer charity.
The 24-year-old said she gained her inspiration from America.
After graduating with a photography degree at the University of Northampton, Ms Birch had taken to snapping couples at their special day.
She said: "Trash the dress is huge over in the States and I haven’t seen it here so I thought I would give it a go and try something different.
"Women hang their wedding dress in their closet for 10 years without getting it out again so it was a lot of fun."
