Taste buds to tingle at St Albans Food and Drink Festival Finale
Residents will be invited to sample delicious delicacies and pick up cooking tips watching demonstrations at St Albans Food and Drink Festival Finale on Sunday.
The Festival Finale will take place in St Peter’s Street from 10am to 6pm and the winners of the St Albans Food and Drink Awards will be unveiled at the event.
There will be lots of stalls where visitors can try and buy all kinds of food including Caribbean, Indian, Greek, Italian, artisan breads, chutneys and cakes.
Food demonstrations will also take place in the Cookery Theatre delivered by Carmen’s Caribbean Kitchen, Kimaya Noodle and Sushi Bar and Pattacakes. The Snug Bar will also be demonstrating how to make cocktails.
Street entertainment, face painters and balloon modelling will provide additional fun for all the family.
The event is the culmination of the food and drink festival which kicked off with CAMRA’s St Albans Beer Festival.
There are lots of other events to enjoy as part of the festival including wine tasting, a vegetarian cooking demonstration, cupcake making and food writing classes.
One of the many festival highlights is the Young Chef of the Year Competition on Saturday, October 5 which is run by Oaklands College.
Verulamium Museum is also holding the ‘Fabulous Feasts’ event where you can handle objects used 2,000 years ago to prepare and eat food. The event runs from 2pm to 5pm and costs £1.
