Police are appealing for information after a man was punched to the ground by another man wearing make-up outside a Harpenden pub.
The 19-year-old was waiting at the traffic lights in his car outside Amble Inn pub, in Station Road, when the two men, who were both on foot, shouted abuse at him and his girlfriend.
The driver then got into an argument with the men, which resulted him being punched in the jaw at around 2pm on Sunday, September 29.
The man, who carried out the assault was wearing make-up and was with a woman and another man wearing a pink wig.
PC Lee Osborne said: "The driver had extensive bruising to the side of his chin which required hospital treatment.
"They were also shouting abuse at other motorists.
"This kind of aggressive and violent behaviour will not be tolerated in Harpenden. If you know who the men and woman are, please get in touch with us."
One of the men is described as a white man, aged between 24 and 28-years-old, with short brown hair. He was wearing a grey tracksuit and make-up.
