Charity cheque for Spinal Research presented at St Albans ball
A paralysed woman who has used her experiences to raise money for charity presented a £16,300 cheque to Spinal Research at a charity ball in St Albans.
Marrianne Rooprai, was joined by Nick Heald, 2012 World Para Canoe Champion and current World Record Holder and Andrew Galbraith, founder of one of the UK’s leading rehab centres for Spinal Cord Injury - Prime Physio, who received the cheque on behalf of Spinal Research.
Marianne, who is the co-founder of The Rooprai Spinal Trust (RST) was joined by trustee Kevin Wackett.
She was paralysed from the shoulders down in 2004 and since then set up RST to offer support to individuals affected by spinal cord injury and also helps the research world in the fight to reverse paralysis.
