St Albans nursery, Busy Bees, celebrates revamp with charity event in aid of NSPCC
A St Albans nursery has showcased its newly refurbished facilities during an event to raise money for the NSPCC.
On Saturday, October 19 staff and children at Busy Bees, in Waverley Road, welcomed the city’s mayor Annie Brewster to enjoy fundraising activities including face painting, cake making, puppet making, and a tombola.
Nursery Manage Wendy Morland said: "It was a great day and both the children and the adults had a great time. The children in pre-school loved all the fun activities, especially the free face painting.
"We were very honoured to welcome the mayor to our newly refurbished nursery and offer her a sample of some of the delicious home-cooked food we offer and raise a little money for our nominated charity this year."
2013 is also a very special year for everyone at Busy Bees as they are celebrating their 30th birthday, and so they are hoping to raise as much money as they can with a fun-packed calendar of exciting events throughout the year.
