St Albans will be put on the map for fashion when the city’s first fashion week kicks off tomorrow.
The event, organised by the Style in my City blog, promises a week’s worth of celebrations which aims to fuse together the city’s heritage and a contemporary flare.
Visitors can expect style makeovers, street style catwalk and photo walls around town, pop up beauty parlours, drop in style booths, late night shopping with fizz, styling master classes.
The event will raise money for Iain Rennie Grove House Hospice, The Mayor’s Charity The Living Room, The Dream Foundation and the St Albans Cathedral.
The city’s abbey will turn in to the ultimate catwalk venue when it hosts a fashion show on November 1, promising the UK’s longest indoor front row.
