Westminster Lodge Leisure Centre in St Albans will celebrate its first birthday by offering a range of free activities.
It is almost a year since the Holywell Hill leisure centre opened its doors and on Saturday, November 9 afternoon activities will include zorbing, badminton, table tennis, a free family fun swim, bouncy castle and a special Fitsteps workshop, designed by Strictly Come Dancing stars Ian Waite and Natalie Lowe.
Small group Tribe Team Training taster sessions are also being held on Sunday for customers aged 16 plus. Children’s activity provider Fit For Sport will also be running free taster sessions on Saturday afternoon and the popular dance group Popdance will offer workshops.
Everyone Active General Manager Lesley Garner said: "We have had a fantastic year here at Westminster Lodge and are lucky to be able to offer such incredible facilities in St Albans.
"We wanted to celebrate our first anniversary by thanking everyone for their support and giving them the chance to come and try some new activities and enjoy a free fun day."
Residents will also be in with the chance to win a hamper worth £1,000 which includes a full family membership, a £100 voucher for treatment at the Verulamium Spa, personal training sessions, swimming lessons and an overnight stay at the nearby St Michael’s Manor Hotel.
The draw will be made at midday on Saturday in reception. To enter, guests should register for a free Everyone Active card and turn up at 10 am for a chance to win.
