Residents, local politicians and a donkey attended St Stephen Parish Council’s carol concert in St Albans at the weekend.
The packed hall, in Greenwood Park Community Centre, sang carols supported by the Watford Brass Band and a mixed choir from local churches.
There was a donkey on hand to deliver mule-tide greetings. It was supplied by one of the parish residents, Penny Farmer. Highlights of the concert included the choirs and bands of pupils from the four Primary Schools in the Parish who also sang, read poems and played solos.
The concert was attended by the mayor of St Albans, Councillor Annie Brewster, along with St Albans MP Anne Main.
