Community groups are being enocouraged to bring along used books to sell at a book fair.

The Community Book Fair will take place in Verulamium Museum on Saturday, March 8, where community groups will sell used books from 10am to 5pm.

Councillor Mike Wakely, portfolio holder for sports, leisure and heritage at the council, said: "This Community Book Fair provides a great opportunity for local community groups to raise much-needed funds.

"If you are involved in a group and have plenty of used books to sell, register now to reserve a free stall. Admission to the book fair will be free to the public. There will be book lovers looking for novels, biographies and factual books to read."

It is free for all community groups to sell books at the event and stalls can be reserved by phoning 01727 751815 or emailing adam.ditchburn@stalbans.gov.uk.
