Pupils from the Penny Waterman School of Dance St Albans East put on their annual dance display over the weekend.
Youngsters aged three to ten from the school performed ballet, tap and modern demonstrating the calendar months in the piece titled Seasons of the Year.
The audience were also treated to a singing and dancing excerpt performed by some of the older children in the Musical Theatre classes, previewing the forthcoming performance of "Matilda" which will be held in May 2014.
Penny Waterman, organiser of the dance, said: "The dance was great.
"The audience showed their appreciation with extended clapping and whistling and the display ended with children singing ‘We Wish you a Merry Christmas'.
"The children were very excited about performing in front of the Mayor Annie Brewster and their relatives and everyone had a wonderful day."
