Records broken as pantomime proves popular in St Albans

With a string of five-star reviews under its belt, The Alban Arena’s 2013 pantomime, Cinderella, has broken all previous sales records for the venue’s festive show.

Revenue topping the half a million pound mark for the first time, the pantomime, starring Pop Idol star Gareth Gates has sold 35,000 tickets.

Alex Bedford, Contract Manager of The Alban Arena, said:” It’s fantastic to see such a positive reaction from the local community as a lot of hard work has gone in to making the show a success.

“ The great reviews are flooding in and plans are already underway for 2014’s pantomime.”
