A petition against West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust’s plans to start charging disabled people to park in St Albans City Hospital was launched. It wasn’t long before the trust refused to reveal details of the controversial parking contract after the Review submitted an FOI request. The response- a letter of figures with information redacted.
Come rain or shine Jo Gill, lollipop lady at Wheatfields Infants School was shortlisted for Hertfordshire County Council’s School Crossing Patrol of the Year competition.
She said: “I have the best job in the world. It really is lovely- I think it’s meant to be.”
It was a slippery slope for St Albans newly opened Westminster Lodge Leisure Centre, when it was revealed floor tiles at the multi-million pound centre would be replaced because they were too slippery.
