A flood alert has been issued for parts of the Upper River Colne and Radlett Brook following an extended period of heavy rain.
The Environment Agency issued the alert last night and is warning of possible flooding to the Radlett and Borehamwood areas.
A spokesman at the Environment Agency said The River Colne has risen in response to the rainfall yesterday and flooding to lower lying land, road and gardens next to the river is likely.
Although today is bright and dry, heavy showers are predicted for the weekend.
