A mosaicist has been recognised for her first piece of art work in a competition.
Patricia Ziegelmeier won the Topps Tiles mosaic art competition and was awarded a £100 cash prize for her lizard inspired mosaic.
Ms Ziegelmeier is taught by Tony Williamson at Meadway Mosaics in Harpenden. Mr Williamson runs the course for the elderly and sick from studios in his garden and his workshop.
The classes are run on a non-profit basis after Mr Williamson retired and suffered with an ongoing illness.
Mosaics became a hobby because Mr Williamson said it is "very therapeutic."
For people interested in attending the classes contact Mr Williamson on 01582 761 496 or 07788860251 or email tonywill1941@hotmail.com.
