Visitors to Harpenden Sports Centre on Saturday spun their way to raising £500 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
More than 80 people turned out to the Leyton Road sports centre on Saturday (January 4) to take part in the spinathon, which was held in support of a member of staff, who is currently unwell.
Health and Fitness Manager, Mike Minerve and Group Exercise Instructor, Sarah Legatte, organised and led the Spinathon.
Alex Bedford, Contract Manager at the sports centre, said: "As it's a charity close to our hearts here at Harpenden Sports Centre; we were extremely keen to really make a difference.
"The amount of interest was fantastic and it was great to see the spinners have a really fun day fundraising. I’d like to say a special thanks to Colin Fisher, Claire Mcfadyen and Paula Curtis for volunteering their time to teach and take part in the event and Andy Brown for completing the whole six hours.”
