Railway enthusiasts are invited to admire a collection of model railways at an exhibition in Harpenden this month.

The 46th annual Brambleton Model Railway Club Exhibition will take place on Saturday, January 18 at the Harpenden Public Halls in Southdown Road.

Thirteen model railway layouts will be on display, as well as a popular garden railway 16mm running with live steam locomotives.

The layouts have either been built by individuals or model railway clubs, who are visiting from as far away as Hampshire and Abingdon.

There will also be support from a number of retail outlets, ready to run trains and spares, as well as the 73082 Camelot Locomotive Society.

Brambleton began life as an unofficial boys club in 1947 before forming as the Brambleton Model Railway Club in January 1956.

The show will take place from 10.30am to 5.30pm. Admission costs £4 for adults and £2.50 for children and concessions.
