A St Albans social worker has been named a Rising Star by national healthcare magazine, Health Service Journal.

Jemima Burnage, who is based at Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (HPFT) head office in St Albans, leads social work and safeguarding across HPFT’s services.

Ms Burnage represents social work locally and nationally and said: “It was a real surprise and lovely way to start the New Year. I feel very honoured to be able to represent social work, mental health services and HPFT. I think this is a really positive sign for the future in terms of raising the profile of social work.

“For me, this is also recognition of all the amazing work my colleagues do each and every day that I am so privileged to be a part of.”

The HSJ Rising Stars celebrates individuals working in healthcare who "deliver excellent service care here and now, but also showing vision of excellent care for the future."
