A St Albans man has been jailed for trespassing on a railway bridge north of the city in September last year.
Craig Sutherland, of Stanley Avenue, was jailed for 12 weeks, after being found guilty of trespassing on a railway bridge in dangerous proximity to overhead power cables, at a court hearing in St Albans Magistrates’ Court on Monday, January 6.
Mr Sutherland was found guilty of causing obstruction and serious disruption and danger to trains and passengers, resulting in high loss to First Capital Connect and inconvenience to others, during the incident which took place on September 21.
The 36-year-old was under the influence of methadone, alcohol and drugs.
