A bomb was removed from a house in St Albans on Saturday.
Police were called to Beverley Gardens just before 10am on Saturday, January 11 following reports of the discovery of a potentially explosive device in the loft of the house.
The Explosive Ordnance Disposol (EOD) team safely removed and disposed of the bomb at 1.40pm.
A number of bottles were also discovered within the property, which were suspected to contain hazardous chemicals, were also removed and safely disposed of by the EOD.
Road closures were lifted and residents returned to their homes at around 1.45pm.
