Leading writer and journalist, Dr Mark Vernon, will launch St Albans Cathedral Study Centre Spring Programme this month.

On Saturday, January 25 Dr Vernon will lead a study day at the Abbey’s Study Centre exploring 'The Meaning of Friendship'.

Dr Vernon began his professional life as a priest in the Church of England and boasts a bibliography which aims to tackle key philosophical questions, including 'How To Be An Agnostic' and 'Love: All That Matters’.

Adult Learning Officer, Dr Clare Coombe, said: "Like everything we offer here at the study centre, this day promises to challenge us, and to make us reconsider our own assumptions and the way in which we view our lives and beliefs.’’

The Meaning of Friendship Study Day will take place at 3.30pm.
