Residents will have the chance to visit attractions for free, take part in activities at a discount and enjoy meal deals this weekend.
During Residents First Weekend on Saturday, January 25 and Sunday, January 26 visitors can take advantage of special offers to enjoy from more than 40 visitor attractions, leisure centres and restaurants, put together by St Albans District Council.
Councillor Beric Read, Community Engagement and Localism Portfolio Holder at the council, said: “We often miss the visitor attractions on our own doorstep, so this event is a great opportunity to have an enjoyable weekend without travelling long distances.
"St Albans District has a wide variety of wonderful attractions to see and activities and restaurants to enjoy. Why not use some of the amazing offers available during Residents First Weekend to try them out?”
To take advantage of the offers residents will need to present a Residents First Card to participating venues.
The card is included in a free Residents First booklet available from local libraries and the Tourist Information Centre in Market Place, St Albans.
Residents can also request for a card by contacting the Council’s Community Services Team on 01727 819311 or emailing them at events@stalbans.gov.uk
