Residents have just two weeks left to register to vote in the European Parliamentary and local election.

Voter registration forms should be returned to St Albans District Council by Monday, February 10, to avoid the risk of not having the right to vote in the elections on Thursday, May 22.

Each year the council sends out voter registration forms to residents to complete as part of an annual process to update the register. All households were sent voter registration forms in October last year and reminder visits were made at the end of last year to households that did not register to vote.

Mike Lovelady, Electoral Registration Officer for St Albans district, said:"Check that the information on the voter registration form is correct and return it in the pre-paid envelope to secure a place on the electoral register."

If residents are not included on the register when it is published on Monday, February 17 they will still be able to register to vote by completing a registration form. Residents who have not received a form or have lost it, can request a new one by calling 01727 819294 or emailing us at elections@stalbans.gov.uk.
