The chairman of the ambulance trust that serves Hertfordshire has resigned ahead of a critical report from the health watchdog.

The Care Quality Commission carried out an unannounced inspection into the East of England Ambulance Trust in December last year and published its findings today.

The report comes the day after chairman of the trust, Dr Geoffrey Harris announced his resignation.
