A St Albans supermarket worker has had her 15 minutes of fame while starring alongside popular television duo Ant and Dec in a national advertising campaign.

Dyan Kew, who works on the deli counter at Morrisons in Hatfield Road, is one of the stars of the supermarket chain's new national advertising campaign, which launched on TV screens across the country on Monday.

In the 40 second advert, Morrisons Market Street is taken out of the stores and recreated as an outside, bustling market.

The 48-year-old who has worked for Morrisons for three years, and starred in a previous advert last year, joins fellow workers from up and down the country, to take on the role of market traders, setting up for the morning’s business and putting the finishing touches to their stalls.

Just like in her own store, Ms Kew is seen laughing with a customer, while she is surrounded by a stack of cheese, as Ant & Dec make their way down Market Street.

Ms Kew said: "The whole experience was great fun. Ant and Dec were so friendly, Dec even saw that I was cold and gave me two cuddles.

"I am so proud to be doing this on behalf of Morrisons. The best part of my job is helping customers, seeing the same faces and giving great customer service."
