Residents are invited to enjoy a Murder Mystery evening to raise money for charity in Harpenden next month.

The Town Mayor, Rosemary Farmer, is planning the evening to take place on Sunday, March 9 at Roundwood Park School to raise funds for The Harpenden Trust and The Royal Anglian Regiment Benevolent Charity.

Grahame Smith has donated the Murder Mystery story and package for free and Hilary Bell and Frances Hall, have donated their time to play the actors.

The town mayor said: "Murder Mystery evenings have become very popular in recent years and I am sure that it will be of great interest, especially to those that enjoy the theatre and problem solving. I hope it will be a great fundraiser for my nominated charities. I am looking forward to the evening."

The evening, which has a 1920s theme will start at 7pm. Costume is entirely optional but for those who like to dress up for the occasion there will be a prize for the best costume.

Tickets cost £20 each, which includes a buffet supper.
