Weird and wacky inventions are on display at the Museum of St Albans until April.
The museum’s Gadgets and Goggles exhibition showcases an eclectic mix as it debuts its ingenious inventions and steampunk creativity pieces.
Steampunk is a retro-futuristic culture, which is partly inspired by the Victorian period whereby creators imagine an alternative world powered by steam rather than electricity.
The free exhibition will run until April 13 at the museum, in Hatfield Road, and includes self-pouring teapots and clockwork burglar alarms.
All objects on display were collected by Maurice Collins and are dated between the Great Exhibition of 1851 and the Festival of Britain in 1951.
Alongside the collection there will be art and costume displays from the steampunk community.
