Harpenden’s England Rugby Union player Owen Farrell will be supporting the town’s very own Sport Relief Mile this month.

The Saracens player will also be joined by his father, England coach and former Rugby Union player Andy Farrell OBE, when the pair open Harpenden Sport Relief in Rothamsted Park on Sunday, March 23 at 10am, along with town mayor Rosemary Farmer.

Camp Green organisers have been working hard to organise the mile event, which is said to be the fastest selling in the UK.

Tom Doe, trainer and owner of Camp Green said: "Sport Relief HQ is keeping a beady eye on us at the moment and will be increasing our capacity to accommodate everyone who would like to take part.

"With three weeks to go we have already beaten our total from when we first launched the Sport Relief event in Harpenden in 2012. Our Sport Relief team comprising Camp Green clients is full to the brim with talented mums who have left their careers to look after their children and who are now putting their skills to use to make 2014 an even bigger success."
