Staff from three St Albans nurseries will don their best bee outfits to take part in the city's annual pancake race this afternoon.
Busy Bees St Albans Hospital, Busy Bees Hatfield Road and Busy Bees Bernard Street staff have joined together to enter into the Flippin’ Walkers Race, led by Monnie Khatun.
Wendy Morland, Busy Bees St Albans Hospital nursery manager said: "Here at Busy Bees we love being part of the community. Our team are really excited about the prospect of representing Busy Bees and bringing home a silver frying pan award. Of course, we also have lots of fantastic pancake activities planned for our children who really enjoy and benefit from getting involved."
Children will also be celebrating Shrove Tuesday with a host of fun pancake inspired activities, including their own races, pancake flipping and designing some creative pancake fillings.
