Firefighters were called to Redbourn after two cars crashed this morning.
One crew from Harpenden and one from Redbourn arrived at Chequer Lane after reports at 9.28am that people were trapped in their vehicles.
No firefighting was required and no-one was found to be trapped when crews arrived.
Paramedics were also called and two women and one man, all in their sixties, were assessed at the scene and are believed to have escaped the crash uninjured.
